Tess WaxmanHello! My name is Tess (she/her), and I am a queer full-spectrum doula based in Berkeley. I feel passionate about supporting individuals and families through all reproductive life events. As a doula, I strive to provide nonjudgmental, inclusive care that honors and respects the unique needs and experiences of each individual. My values of anti-capitalism, mutual aid, and community care inform my approach to doula work, and I prioritize building relationships of trust and collaboration with my clients. I have supported first, second, and third-time birthing parents at many hospitals throughout the Bay in unmedicated, medicated, and surgical births. I have also been called to build intentional, long-term postpartum relationships and offer childcare. My background has led me to appreciate and respect both medicine and nature's innate wisdom. I provide my clients with the latest evidence and science-backed explanations while holding space for our bodies to work their magic. I love to share knowledge through stories and statistics, helping you discover what feels right for you so that you may birth and parent (or not parent) in alignment with YOUR values. In my free time, I enjoy connecting with my nesting partner and our two cats, honoring my body through dance and swimming, decompressing by watching documentaries and reality TV, and dreaming of radical futures for my community. I am so grateful for the opportunity to support others on their journeys and hope to meet you soon!
